Details: Bowl Gouges are the fundamental tool for bowl and hollow vessel turning. Used for primary shaping and finish cuts. This 3/8″ short handle version has a little less length than a standard bowl gouge to help improve control. Made from M2 High Speed Steel (HSS) and hardened to Rockwell 62-64, thus giving it excellent edge holding ability. Tool is approximately 15″ long overall with an 8-1/2″ stained beech handle.
